After Care
.Don't wash your hair for atleast 48 hours following the treatments.
.Avoid using ponytail holders and tucking the hair behind your ears for atleast hourse. If this happens, just take your flat iron and smooth it back out.
.Use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Pravana sulfate free shampoo is recommended, but any sulfate free shampoo will work!

Heather is getting back to her roots. Many celebs such as Shenae Grimes, Annie from 90210, are sporting the "grown out look" In order to accomplish this look for Heather, we left her natural at the roots and bleached and toned her ends. It turned out great!

The Rainbow Bridge Poem

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all our special friends
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed
are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.

hold your head up girl

Those of you who know me know that mother's day is not one of my favorite holidays. There is nothing worse than an entire day devoted to mothers when you have no clue what its like to have one. I remember when I was a little girl there was nothing  I desired more than having a mom. I would see the other girls mom's bring them lunches or come on field trips and I couldn't help the overwhelming envy.  Those girls had someone to teach them how to shave their legs and put on makeup. They had someone to tell their secrets to and talk about boys with.  My sister and I have gotten really good at pretending to be strong, but days like this we always seem to let our guard down and have a good cry. For the most part a good cry always leads to some sort or revalation. On this mother's the little girl in me quit feeling sorry for herself and was instead impowered to be a better mother than mine was. For those of you who have parents that have dissapointed you, hold your head up. We choose who we want to be. even if we weren't born into the best circumstances we have the power of choice. We can choose to be better, we can choose to hold our heads up.

Though God didn't bless me with the traditional family, I had 3 amazing women in my life that have directed me into the woman I am today and the woman I am still striving to become. I don't know who I would be without these beautiful, strong women. I love you ma'ma, juju, and joy.

Most women remember the hair from their childhoods as a bad slideshow of bowl cuts and bananna bangs. We all remember those looks where the expression was clear that they were trying to figure out if we were a boy or a girl.  Due to this, some women take those terrible and unfortunate memories and use that as an excuse to keep their long dragging dus.We hold on to our hair as an effort to rebel against those memories, but for some women, all they are holding on to is one big hot mess. This is the story about a woman who grew it and wore it. But all fairytales must come to an end, and this one just happens to be a happy one.




So the story began with a woman in a desperate need of a change. The first thing she said to me was, "I want to cut my hair short." since i'd only seen her with long hair, my quick response was "how short!?"
after a deep breath susan responded with "this short" and illustarted to the point right below her chin.


Most  realize that hair is terribly personal, and it is indeed the root of our vanity. It is a tangled mess of emotion, so one might see how cutting off 10 inches of a women's own personal "veil" can be a little unsettling.

But never the less Susan had made up her mind. She was cutting off those lock that have been holding her back from the spunky capability of her hair. and let me tell you, who knew that hot woman was under all that hair!
