Add a Little Color to the World
Since Lauren Conrad sported her tye dye ends, many of my clients have come into the salon requesting the same look. They want the look, but what they don't want is the commitment. In an effort to give them a little adventure with their hair, but less permanent, I have introduced them to hair chalking! It's great for fun occasions; it's also great for children who aren't old enough to color their hair yet. It's a great way to have fun hair for the night without the risks or commitment of coloring the hair permanently.
What you will need....
STEP 1: cover your clothes with a old towel or cape and use gloves to protect your hands. Use clippies to section off where you want the color to be applied.
STEP 2: use your water bottles to wet the ends where you want the color.
STEP 3: use pastel chalk (color of choice) to color the dampened ends. to achieve the tye dyed look, useatleast3 colors starting with the lightest color.
STEP 4: After the hair is air dried run a flat iron over the colored part to seal in the color. This will help the color last longer. Then, brush and style as desire!
The hair chalking lasts approximately 1 week, but varies depending on the porosity and texture of the individual's hair.
